“95% of the water that enters our homes goes directly down the drain”. This statistic blows me away but makes sense given our uses of water.
Grey water relates to all the water that comes from sanitary fixtures, such as our showers, basins, baths, and our laundry (not from soils fixtures, which are our toilets).
With a small amount of planning, it is possible to install a grey water tank and capture this water. Rather than waste it, we can put it to good use in the garden, for example. The good thing about these tanks, too, is they are discrete (being below the ground) and require little to no maintenance.
