#49 How to get free hot water
This awesome little video shows you a trick in how to harness the heat from your aircon unit for free hot water and you can cut your household expenses!
When you use aircon to cool your home, hot air is pushed out the unit. You can use this to power and heat a hot water system. The waste heat from the aircon unit is fed into a specially design water tank, the water is heated to a preset temperature and then pushed through existing pipework in exactly the same way as conventional hot water is circulated.
The system generates heat in both summer and winter months so you can use the waste heat 365 days a year!
57% of our utility bill is used in heating water, and heating and cooling the house so it makes sense to invest in reducing this amount each month!
