#46 How to install a free standing bath

This very simple and creative video shows you how to install a free standing bath!

  1. Position the tub at its desired location and trace its contour with a pencil
  2. As the floor drain and tap are not supplied, make sure they are pre-installed, and compliant with your local regulations.
  3. Use a throw rub to protect the tub
  4. Connect the P-Trap
  5. Test the installation for leaks
  6. Make sure the tub is flush with the floor for maximum stability, use silicone to seal the contour of the bathtub
  7. Wait 24 hours
  8. Lift bath (with two people) out and upside down
  9. Drill faucet holes in position
  10. Screw in taps and tighten with screws
  11. Instal pipe underneath
  12. Test for leaks, fill up and empty the tub
  13. Use silicone to seal the contour of the bathtub
  14. Wait 24 hours
