#45 Fire Collar installation in a tight area

This quick video is a helpful tool in learning how to install Retrofit Fire Collars in tight spaces.

Firstly you unclip the collar and feed it around stack work. Push in behind the tight space and click together. Slide the collar up against concrete floor and you will see and feel that it is very tight and you don’t have much movement.

If you have done it incorrectly or you need to change the collar, it isn’t hard to unlock and pull off. Simply use pressure on left hand side and use right hard to push in and unclip!
